How do I choose my crystals?
I am buying for someone else so how will I know what to buy for them?
Which book has the best crystal advice?
These are all questions I hear often, and ones I have also asked myself.
I have many great books which assist my choices, pictures to look at
and lists of starsigns, ailments, personality types etc ... But the
best information I get is when I ask myself which crystals to use, how
they will help, and how to use them!
Trusting in Ourselves is
not always easy and for most of us will not come naturally. Surely a
book must know better than me? To this, I ask, Who knows you better -
yourself or the book? Our 'subconscious', thoughts, feelings, learning
through life, guidance from where you may seek, 'intuition' or 'gut
feelings' know us better than anyone! And listening to them can be
surprising just how much good we can learn from ourselves.
Crystals
have an amazing way of making themselves known to us when we need them
most. We have been here for years but they have been on Earth for many
many lifetimes and will hold within the energies and experiences that
have passed them by. As water freezes and locks in the particles to
ice, electricity flows in currents, crystal structures will too have
'information' and 'experiences in their atmosphere' which many people
believe stays with them. It is said in Atlantis times crystals were
used much like how we use books today. Who would ever believe a micro
sd card, USB memory sticks and micro chips hold within all the
information which they store??? To look at you would laugh and say
impossible, yet when we load our images and documents from them into
the computer we see the information for ourselves. Are crystals that
different? Perhaps we have not 'unlocked' their true powers yet?
'Intuition'
and working with your 'gut feelings' can be tough when starting out,
but the more you allow yourself to go with your own thoughts and
feelings, the easier it becomes to accept and make sense of the
information we are given.
By trying the exercises below and adapting
the same questions and concepts to any work with crystals, spiritual
development, prayer or meditation ... You will always carry your BEST
crystal book, healing guide and learned friend ... YOU !!!
When asking for a friend?
When
you are choosing crystals for someone else, apply the same questions.
When you hold the questions with good intentions for your friends
health or happiness you can be sure to receive good advice. Be
confident ... and remember ... Your friend may just find something they
were not expecting from their new crystal friend :)
Mini Workshop:
If
you can get a pen and paper great, it is much easier to write now and
analyse later. Scrap paper will do - you don't want to worry about your
handwriting which takes the focus away from your thoughts on the
crystals.
Take a few minutes to relax, a few calm breaths and a clear (or clearish) mind will help your thoughts flow :)
When
you ask yourself the following questions, and any others you may think
of, you may be surprised what answers you start to receive. Do not
worry, or try to force in your logical mind where they may be leading
you to. If you stick with it you will hopefully understand where the
messages were taking you to by the end. Notice images and thoughts
which 'plant a seed' of another thought, remind you of an experience or
sound, smell etc... Often the first thoughts are to help lead us to the
answers ... So don't be worried if you think of random ideas ... Just
take a breath, clear the mind ... and focus once more. If the thought
sticks this may well be trying to guide you!
And remember ... this is not a test ... no right or wrong. Crystals will hold different teachings for us all.
